A Day at Disneyland

The other day, Jason and I went to Disneyland where we met up with Sarah, Bryant, Katie, Ella, and my mom. We had such a good time! We went on rides, watched the parade, and even stayed for the fireworks! Basically, I bawled my eyes out during the parade because all the characters would wave at Katie and she would get soo happy. It just killed me. And every time I hear the quote from Walt Disney, "To all who come to this happy place.....welcome," I can't help but cry. I love Disneyland. It's so inspiring. It brings people together and makes people so happy! I love it!

Elder Corotan...Gone ONE Year!

Elder Corotan has been gone for a little over a year! He's in the Korea Busan Mission. It's amazing to see the change in him. Just from his letters you can see the change from a goofy, loud, sorta cocky kid to a mature, caring missionary. I can't wait for him to come home!

Girls Weekend In Laguna

The Hiatt girls and the Smith girls all got together and had a mini-vacation at our beach house in Laguna. We went out to dinner at BJ's pizza, watched Pride and Prejudice in our pajamas and went to sleep. We spent the whole next day at the beach. It was a perfect beach day...except...right after this picture was taken, a wave hit us and my sunglasses fell off my head and were lost in the ocean forever. Other than that, it was a perfect day!

Girlfriends!

Recently, some of my high school girlfriends got together and we had a sleepover at kendra's house. I had school the next morning so I couldn't stay the night, but I had such a fun night just hanging out with them again.

Kacey and Sandy's Trip to San Diego

On friday morning, Kacey and I loaded up my car and left for San Diego. We had reservations to stay in the Best Western on Hotel Circle. When we arrived, the first thing we did was get on our swim suits and go to the pool. We swam around for a while, layed out, and then went back to our room. We watched some T.V. (mostly this Soap Opera called Passions...so wierd) and then we got ready and drove across the bridge to Coronado. We went to this delicious mexican food place called Miguel's, and then walked around Coronado for a while. When we got back to the hotel, we got ready for bed, watched Never Been Kissed, and fell asleep. The next morning, we went to breakfast at the Hotel Cafe, and drove to Old Town. There was a cute art festival going on so we went shopping and we also stopped by the Mormon Batallion Visitor's Center where we were able to dress up as soldiers.

After that, we got back on the road and found a beach called, Ocean Beach. We hung out there for a while and shopped down the main street.

When we were done there, we went back to Coronado where we walked around for a LONG TIME trying to find a cheap place to eat that wasn't crowded.

We found a really cute little diner to eat at and i ordered a chocolate phosphate with Mr. Pibb. This guy came out and was like, "we were really confused about your order, so we just made you this." And it was this HUGE Mr. Pibb float with chocolate ice cream and lots of chocolate sauce. It definately was NOT what I ordered, but I'm not gonna lie, it was freaking delicious. I just thought that was hillarious when he came out with this gigantic mug.

After that, we went home and went to a party at Ricky's house. It was such a fun weekend!! I really needed a break from work and i'm so glad I got to go on a fun adventure with my very best friend! I will never forget that weekend!

I'm Blonde Again!

I am addicted to changing my hair color. Here are some pictures of me and my different hair colors from the past two years:

It started out light brown...
Then I added some highlights....
Then, I bought one of those boxes of hair dye at sav-on. I got one that said "blonde." But, It did not turn my hair blonde, no it did not, it did the exact opposite. But I loved it anyway!!
Then, that started fading...
and started turning greenish.... haha...

So, I added highlights....
And more highlights...
Then I pretty much dyed it black...
And that faded as well....
And kept fading....
And it kept on fading...
So here I am again...blonde! And I love it! We'll see how long this lasts!

4th of July in Coronado

I spent my 4th of July with Jason, his sister, his mom, his aunt, uncle, grandma, and grandpa. They were so sweet and made me feel so welcome. Jason's grandparents have a timeshare on Coronado Island. It was right on the beach and had a really nice pool. It was so relaxing and fun to have eight days off work to play at the beach! We took our bikes and rode around the island, took walks into town, and the fireworks were lighting off on the bay right outside of our window so we sat on the couch, opened the window, and watched the fireworks. It was so amazing!

Jason's sister, Heather had her birthday on July 3rd, so we got to celebrate
while we were there! She got a new skateboard and took me on a ride.

...oops!

Kacey and I were on our way to Jason's band, The Messenger's show when we both decided we were very hungry. We got in the huge drive through line at McDonald's causing us to be like twenty minutes late for the show. They were the first to play so we payed ten dollars to see them play for like half of a song. It was rad. We didn't want to stay for the other bands, so we went outside and just took a whole bunch of fun pictures! Later that night we went to the midnight showing of Evan Almighty, which was a great movie and made me cry.

we are WAY too much alike!

Farewell, Tanner!

A couple of weeks ago, I had to say goodbye to one of my favorite friends, Tanner Andre. My friends Kacey and Lee came with me to his farewell talk in Trubucco Hills, Ca. Since it was Father's Day, he spoke about our relationship with our Heavenly Father and what we can do to strengthen it. It was such a good talk, he's going to be such a great missionary. After sacrament meeting, we went over to his house and hung out with his family and some friends and ate food. It was really nice. Then we said our goodbyes and went home. Tanner left that tuesday to report to the MTC on wednesday. He's going to the Baltic States Mission. He'll be staying in Latvia I think!
